Our research lab is driven by the idea that revolutionary medical advances in the 21st Century will require technologies that can both analyze and control biology with unprecedented precision. The next generation of therapeutics should be developed together with diagnostics to enable physicians to precisely tune treatments for individual patients to move beyond tests based on population statistics. Our lab is developing technologies to enable this vision by addressing outstanding challenges in our understanding of cell biology and tissue function, the detection and monitoring of disease, and the ability to therapeutically manipulate molecules and cells in the body.
